I have a set of original wheel caps but they will not work on the front wheels. Any suggestions? I thought I read about chain link fence post caps but how would you keep them secured in place.

Well it might be "ugly under there" where you can't see it, but have you investigated "getting imaginative" with dust caps? Tin cans, etc?

Guess I'm not getting the whole picture here.

The ford center hole on wheels were smaller than on a Chrysler even though they are the same bolt pattern. They would not bolt up on an older Chrysler. The bullit wheels are you looking at the newer mustang aluminum 5 spoke. Have a set but they are in Indy, don't know if the center is still smaller than the center bore hole on a dodge wheel, but that is what I would check 1st

Ok reread the post, are you saying the wheel fits but the center cap will not clear? I have spinner centers on my aftermarket wheels that snap into the hole. But they are factory spinners and didn't work on the aftermarket wheels. I had to make spacers to get the depth I needed. If that is the case I would think spacers could be made to add some clearance for the wheels. Guess I will find out since I was going to try and put the factory wheels on my 1981 Imperial, doubt my 18x10 rear aftermarket wheels will clear on the imperial
