Good luck with your Dart! We need more of those on this site. Mine was also a 273 and it's now a 360. What are your plans?

Gonna make a good driver. 3.73 gears. A500 overdrive. I’ll put up more pictures. I’m liking the 881 blue more and more. I will change it to white interior and top & boot. I will be adding cruise and ac to it also.

Yep, nice car once you remove offending ford hood scoop.

Looks like a nice rust free project, I wondered who ended up with that, was too far West for me to go after and the guy didn't want to budge on price so I just let it go, I already own a 67 Vert so wasn't too heartbroken.

Only rust in it is behind the rear wheel wells. Not bad at all! It was worth it for me to give a little more for a good body!

Nice project. I'm doing one for my buddy right now. Same color but white interior and top. Stroked 360 from Blueprint.

Nice car! We have a 69 Dart GT conv. with all numbers matching 273/904 drivetrain.

Be sure to strengthen the torsion bar crossmember real good after you have to hack it to get the A500 in. It's supposedly not much hacking, but it will require some. The conv will need the strength added back even more so than a hard top car would.

I saw the other post about pistons. I had custom flat tops with 2 valve reliefs made for the 273 I just built for my 65 Barracuda. They will be 9.6 to 1 compression @ zero deck with an .028 thick head gasket. They were $700 from Race Tech in CA. If the Egge's are in stock, you will be able to get them quicker than the customs. I had 3 sets made when I got mine from Race Tech, 2 for both my 273's and the 3rd set for another member on here.

Good luck with the build. Looking forward to seeing it progress.

That's where I left that wrench!

On a side note... I worked in facility operations, one day I popped a ceiling tile. That's where I left my flash light, 5 years ago!

NICE!

I gotta agree about "no" to that hood scoop, though.

I like 67 Darts. I had a friend who bought a rather rough one about 15 years ago. I spent a whole year helping him with it. After helping with quarter panels, floors, painting the engine bay, installing suspension, etc. He changes his mind, and sells it for pennies on the dollar. Without asking me if I would have any interest in buying it. I probably had 200 hours in it helping him. It would have been nice to have been offered a chance to buy it.
