My first child

-
Thanks for all the advice guys, I'm sure we'll be fine. Also, I can't wait 20-25 years to get back into my projects, so hopefully that doesn't happen lol. All well, we'll see. Yeasterday's history tomorrow's a mystery.

you never wondered why so many of us build model cars?

with kids that is all that our budget allows

WAIT A SECOND! You are getting grandkids and didn't have kids! That sir is just not fair to us that put in all those years of hard work raising kids.

Never had kids myself but my stepdaughter Desiree is having twins in July...most of the time during her pregnancy she has remained her level headed self...but every now & then the hormones kick in and she starts wigging out. Ernestina does her best to calm her down but....hang in there.....

My wife couldent breast feed because he wasnt getting enough and was always hungry. She tried a pump to make sure there was enough in a bottle. This didnt work either. Regular formula gave em the runs, so we had to use soy formula for the first year. Then transition to whole milk.

What i do to keep my project rolling along even at the snails pace its going at is, use my overtime cash from my job, or sell parts i dont need, or by working some small side jobs for extra dollars. My wife doesnt mind this because my regular paycheck pays the bills. All the extra is hobby money.

Yes kids cost a lot, but since she is a new Mom like another person posted she is nesting. Hormones may explain a bit of the nuttiness. Be patient with her, and explain your side of the situation. you need your garage time to de stress. My wife wants me to go in my shop at least one day a week and do my thing with the car because she knows it relaxes me. Whatever you do communication is key. If you dont tell her this stuff resentment can build between you.

Most of my sons clothes i got used. He pukes on em, gets em stained with food now that he's Starting to feed himself. When he outgrows em which is pretty quick they are so bad i toss the old clothes.

There are consignment shops for baby stuff. You can get stuff cheap if you know where to look, and spend the money on the important stuff. Above all enjoy your baby. Take part in their firsts and enjoy watching them discover different things for the first time. My boy is 19 months old and he brings me so much joy rolling around on the floor with him, playing cars with him. I think toddlers are the coolest age except for the diaper changes LOL.
