This is my first crack at restoring a car. Lucky for me I work in a restoration shop and have lots of information available!! It's a California car that had the typical rotten roof under the vinyl. I'm spending lots of time outside in the man shack working on this thing.

Nice project ya got there.Weather looks nice ,where are ya? Supposed to snow big time tomorrow.Keep those pics comin. 8)

I'm in St. Catharines. Ontario. No snow yet, not too cold either. I painted the tranny tonight and I'm dropping a 340 in soon. I've some buckets, console etc....I'm 47 and I feel like a kid. I'm hunting parts and having a great time.

Good looking project you have there. Are you going to go back to the green, or change the color? The 340 makes for a fun A-Body :D

Great starting point. Looks like you have a few projects to get to....

The engine is a 340. It's a bit of a story....I bought a 318 and tranny from the guy who sold me the car. They were out of a 71 Challenger and I was going to do one of those "bolt on" low budget builds. I got the right heads and I'd read some articles about what you can get out of a 318 if you do it right. In the mean time I went to buy some exhaust tips from a guy with a 69 Dart. He had a nice, running 1973 340 in it and he wanted to sell it. So I bought that instead. It has a cam, steel crank, etc and that's about all I know. We checked out what we could, compression, heard it running....So I took a bit of a chance. I know 1973 is not the best year to get but I also knew the engine had some ugrades. Long story short, a 340 is probably more desirable thatn the 318 or the original slant six. Tranny has a shift improver kit and we'll see hoe that goes. I got a 650 edlebrock an intake and headers too. I really don't want to burn up the street, just have a nice driver with some get up and go.

No, not my projects. That is the roof doner car. I found that guy about hour away from my place.
