It’s all in here somewhere. Look back around page 8-10What method did you use to drop the front end.
Well I caint blame here there. LOLhell, at this point she'd prolly take the money to get away from me!
You’d think after the “great Tucson hot sauce debacle of 25” that I’d lay low a little bit but honestly I haven’t. Still want hot sauce on just about everything.
Good luck! I’m interested in the 60’ times you’ll turn. I couldn’t get my lowered D100 to hook. Are you still running the 9 1/4 diff?Just a quicky update with (probably) more to come shortly. We’re getting ready for Pomona on Saturday and putting the truck in “race” mode, whatever that means. Oh I know, drag radials are back on, and nitrous bottles are full. I got the nitrous controller all wired up but I’m having problems with the rpm signal,
Where are the N2O electronics experts? Need help.
In case you missed it. I’m building a filter and if that doesn’t work I’ll stick the button back in the truck temporarily. Friday night I have my work Christmas party and usually we party like it’s 1987 so I’m guessing about 2am I’ll be driving the D100 about 40 miles to my girls house. She lives 1/2 mile from the drag strip. I’ll sleep for a couple hours then head to the show. I got the draggy, and the go pro all charged up and hopefully I’ll have some videos with data overlayed to share.
I wish. Mine is the stock 6 cylinder 8-3/8. Which is just the truck nomenclature for “8-1/4” weak *** differential”. I don’t plan to hammer it off the line, I'm not trying to rotate the earth by any stretch.Good luck! I’m interested in the 60’ times you’ll turn. I couldn’t get my lowered D100 to hook. No big deal, you can make up the 60' with good pull through the midrange. You can find 8 3/4 in early power-Wagons. I found one in a 73 W100.I wish. Mine is the stock 6 cylinder 8-3/8. I currently own (3) 8-3/4 diffs. Non of which are wide enough for this truck. I have a good friend with one out of a D100 and I’m trying to pry it from his hands. @jedrattle are you listening?!?No big deal, you can make up the 60' with good pull through the midrange. On the 275 drag radials it hooks pretty hard, transfers weight fairly well and runs out. Especially on the laughing gas.you can make up the 60' with good pull through the midrange
Yea I bet shipping would be ridiculousi have one 8 3/4...but would cost to much to carry it across the country
A-bodies have the same perch width... then get some really deep dish rimsI currently own (3) 8-3/4 diffs. Non of which are wide enough for this truck. I have a good friend with one out of a D100 and I’m trying to pry it from his hands. @jedrattle are you listening?!?
That’s kinda the problem. I have wheels and tires I really like. Don’t want to buy another set. So I need 64-7/16” wide wms to wms.A-bodies have the same perch width... then get some really deep dish rims![]()
Aren't C-bodies or E-bodies really close? Can't remember....That’s kinda the problem. I have wheels and tires I really like. Don’t want to buy another set. So I need 64-7/16” wide wms to wms.

what about '65-71 Dodge trucks?? Aren't they the same as well? I just bought a dodge truck 8.75 for our truck without knowing, everything was the same width as the 8.25. I dont' know what year of rear I bought though, it was laying on the ground72-74 D100 8 3/4 is 59 7/16 flange to flange on the bare housing. 70-74 C body is the same width......just gotta redo the perches where you need them.
so the '65-71's would only be a half inch narrower per side. Wouldn't even notice if a wider tire was used in the backHere's the whole chart. A friend of mine put a C body axle on top of the springs when he lowered his stepside. It fit perfect.
Ok, so, I've posted parts of this list a few times, normally in response to some of the really inaccurate charts and lists that are out there and posted too frequently. It's not my list, I sourced it from the internet but I can't remember where. Since the time I downloaded it several years ago, I have personally confirmed a bunch of these numbers. The A-body numbers, the E-body numbers, several of the B-body measurements, a couple of the C-body measurements, and even the D100 measurements. They've all been spot on, so I have no reason to suspect any of the measurements I haven't personally...

Oh guess im wrongThats what I have
I know the spring perch is different
Or at least the frame rails ...or something
I have a C body housing at home. I can measure in the next few days. If correct width, I can throw in the truck and give it to out at Bonneville. I know thats not for a while, but still.C body is close. C body wagon is same.
