My 71 Dart 318 has decided to stop running.
It will no longer idle in gear and likes to die when even I let it.

Im thinking the floats in my 4150-4777 are stuck but that is anpther issue.

I decided to pull the pluga and see if I had a bad wire or some such and here is what I see.

Driver side , lowest plug is #1.

6AL running off points dizzy.
10BTDC ,unknown total advance as mark goes behind timing cover. Vac advance dizzy, stock springs.

Tuned using Vaccume gauge on non ported vaccum.

I guess I should try tuning to the plugs now? Once I can get her happy again..

Thanks for the time and advice.

Cool, I did not know that.
I will pull and re gap the plugs.
Thanks.

I think Im gonna need a thread in air and fuel as this sucker will not stay running on idle circut all of a sudden...an Im pretty sure I fried my Automeeter tach by hooking to the MSD Tach out put...

:(

It does sound like you have a stuck needle/seat probably due to dirt in your fuel line.Look to see if fuel is dumping at idle. Also you might want to change your fuel filter.

Fuel filter is a glass one and dose have some fine debris in it.

No fuel dump at idle, altho my Holly wistle has gotten louder so Im thinking air bleads?
I will pull filter, meetering block, needle and float when I get a chance.

It dose seem like a fuel delivery issue as the car dies and i know she pulling vaccum.

plugs re gapped at .049

Im gettin to old to push my car home..

Thanks again for all your time and advice.
