NASCAR has done it this time !

Yea the other thing that made Nascar stupid is when the changed the point system
So if you have a bad start of the season your not getting it back

I haven't watched that soap opera since the 70's except for the brief stint Sterling Marlin was in the Mopar Coors car. Until a 1970 HEMI Superbird can circle the track in a real race again. F$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$CK NASCAR>

Earnhardt family is now the subject of a literal soap opera on PPV.

Sterling was my favorite back then in the " Coors " car. I always wanted to see that car painted in a " Killians " scheme.

Real stock cars
Just safety equipment and tires
Need to pass emissions
That would be a show

dirtiest driver in nascar ever , he died by receiving what he had been doing to other drivers for yrs.
Totally FALSE, He did it to Himself, Marlin never touched Him.........I know, I watched that race live & the repeated replays before anyone had a clue He was deceased.
His car was running the high groove all day, He fought it all day as well, Marlin was on rails. When Marlin had to pit, Dale Sr. decided to force His car to the inside & hang on, it was the only way to keep Marlin from going by & catching Sr.'s DEI Duo M. Waltrip & Dale Jr.
Waltrip's Daddy & I forget who else was calling the race were talking about it the entire time it was going on, they knew the car was unhappy, & He was determined to block Marlin.....who put His nose right up to Sr.'s back bumper.......which takes some downforce off the rear and it got away from Him.
There was nothing dirty done to Sr. by anybody but Himself, which is the way He raced, & the way He wanted it.

thay didnt outlaw the wing cars or the hemi,...thay restricted it to 305 ci!!! tottle bullchit!!

Daytona was a sellout. But only because thay removed the backstrech stands some years ago. I used to stop what I was doing to watch a race, Now I don't even know what day or time a race is on. They keep moveing The day, time, station. Too hard to keep track of. Also no inovation on the cars, any more. Nascar might just as well build all the cars. Have them at the track (like the IROC series), and the teams draw numbers to see which car they get.
Like at the go kart track, they open the gates and you run and get the Kart you’ve been eyeing. That’s where the real action is, and the best part? You get to put a whoopin on your friends and family!

mostly what I said , he was the dirtiest driver in nascar..

I though it was 355 ci. as for the reason for the W2 motor.

In 1971 NASCAR instituted the 305 rule for aero cars.
Mario Rossi dropped a Kieth Black 305 Trans-Am engine into his Daytona, and with Dick Brooks at the helm took 7th place in the 1971 Daytona 500 despite being involved in an early crash that put him 2 laps down.
It was the final appearance of a Daytona/Superbird in NASCAR.

Saw an iRacing simulation where they put a 1970 Superbird up against the 2025 Daytona field and the Superbird pulled away from the draft and roasted the field easily.

Seen that as well. Unrestricted, the new cars would kill a Bird. In the configuration they currently run, limiting the speed, Bird would thrash them.

Was talking to one of my customers he loves the ppv thing can watch when he wants

Oh yes ...always liked gant...too
It was the end of the backyard racers area
The same reason I can't watch indy anymore
As the old saying goes "Money ruins everything".
And so it continues for all, that things aren't any better as the CART founders told us they were the "Real" series.
And Once again changing the world for profits only works out for a few & others won't watch because they blindly believe instead of learning for themselves.
And businessmen continue to try to prove Ayn Rands' failed theories and we miss out when we believe everything w/o double checking. & now you better triple check it all!
And personally you have missed many exciting 500s because you didn't care to see for yourself!

I don't attend any sports events any longer due to the costs. I just went to see the 2025 Sebring race in Sebring, Florida. Only reason I went is because I now live 10 miles away from the track. $100.00 for the ticket and $80.00 to park. Thank God, I brought my own food. I have gone to several NASCAR races in Homestead and stopped that also do to the costs and when you use to be able to close your eyes and tell which make of car just passed, Now, they all sound and look the same.
Thanks for heads up, I live 4 hrs from Sebring & have considered going, but $80 to park will cancel that idea.
How much for a camping space, since normal parking so high?

I did not ask about camping because the lots were filled. If you plan on camping, I would reserve a spot a year ahead. I did ask about renting a golf cart and it was around $150.00 a day, so I brought my own on a trailer. Same price $80.00 a day. Must remove that day and bring back the next day. I did enjoy the weekend but once is enough for me. You do get to see a lot of "COOL" HP dealer cars. Bring the wife or girlfriend and give them the $80.00 parking fee and they can go shopping after dropping you off.

So why didn't the factory make the 305s rev to the moon to make up for the lost air, as horsepower is actually about how much Air you can move through the pump? Pump more air(RPM) & add more fuel = same HP as 426.
And the sound it would make at RPMs would've changed nascar, or caused an RPM rule!

NASCAR needed to slow down the cars for safety. The same for the other add-ons, safety. We all like to see a crash, but not anyone getting hurt.
