I have been a fan of nascar for a long time.
Since 1960.
I've been to a few tracks, (Riverside,Atlanta,Talladega,Pocono).
Bought a bit of merchandise.

Now they have taken away the FREE TV.
You now have to be a subscriber to PRIME!!!!!

Thanks but no thanks nascar. No wonder your audience is srinking.

I think I will start attending the local dirt track. Should be lots of great side by side racing.

This time? That time>>>Haven't been a NASCAR fan since they banned Winged Cars.

Nascar killed itself with wonderful things like Nascar goes hollywood... omg what an abortive attempt at growing the sport.
Add in the crazy penalty that one team got and another team didn't. Or a similar infraction and the penalty is VASTLY different. Yeah, ask Mark Martin and Greg Biffle about that...
Or the officiating of races where one of the "faves" is needing multiple stops for repairs, track is clear and they run 2 additional caution laps so the fave can stay on the lead lap. It's been bad and a joke for close to 35 years.

You cater to the trendy, they tire, find something new, move. While alienating the die hard decades old fan. Genius.

Remember the 600 at Charlotte when the entire backstretch was filled wall to wall with fans in the seats. Me too.

Stopped watching all sports when they went woke
Nascar is far from woke. imo
It's still a good ole boy sport, ya hear me now. lol
All the legends offspring are still involved, King Richard still roams amongst them.
I'll enjoy a race for you.

Five more races on Amazon Prime, then the television coverage for the remainder of the 2025 NASCAR season will be split between USA and NBC.
Is usa a free over-the -airwaves station? No? Nbc, or peacock? Don't get that either.
Nascar has been successfully driving their fans away for years.
My gf was actually a Nascar fan, watched races every week, went to the Fontana and Vegas races. She was a big Junior fan.
When he quit, so did she.

NASCRAP died when a Dodge team gave Toiletta the technology, they had never designed a pushrod engine before but all of a sudden they had one! I only attended one race in my life anyway, 1970 Valleydale 500 in Bristol, TN and I was 13, I got to try and walk up the banking, I will never forget that!

Mike , I get to use my meme !!! Nascar can
kiss-my-***.gif

yea i was a king fan then dale sr been to pocono.loudon, dover, the glen, richmond, martinsville(my fav) bristol, and the last race at rockingham..
but stopped when yota joined ....what is stock about that
thought it was getting cool with mustang/camaro ....
think it would cool if they used STOCK cars again...and make them pass emissions ....then lets see what they can do

Big money will figure out a way to ruin anything. But in my opinion Motorsports in general are becoming more of a niche than mainstream. I don't know what the future holds but it doesn't look good.

lmfao, This is your NASCAR
At the 2025 Daytona 500, NASCAR and ABB made history by debuting their groundbreaking EV prototype as a pace car, signaling a bold step towards a more sustainable future for the sport.

I wasn't happy with NHL putting a small percentage of games on pay per view only.

What's the breakdown of how many NASCAR races are PPV only?

:realcrazy:

:wtf:
Haven't cared a bit since the cars stopped having any resemblance to anything offered by any manufacturer. Bodywise or enginewise.
"Stock Cars" my arse.
Agreed 100%.

Daytona was a sellout. But only because thay removed the backstrech stands some years ago. I used to stop what I was doing to watch a race, Now I don't even know what day or time a race is on. They keep moveing The day, time, station. Too hard to keep track of. Also no inovation on the cars, any more. Nascar might just as well build all the cars. Have them at the track (like the IROC series), and the teams draw numbers to see which car they get.
