Nasty 8 3/4 noise

Hey guys I am wondering if you guys know what this noise is?? Looking like I’m going to have to rip this thing apart? Here’s my video

Sounds like it's knocked some teeth off the ring and or pinion gears.

Keeping this in one thread would get you better traction with your issue. Did you mess with it or what else did you do?

I adjusted it and still makes noise. Ripped it apart today

I bet your missing a stop block, some springs, stop pins and or spacers....

The OP has a PowerTrax or LockRight locker. It simply replaces the side and spider gears in an open differential. I liked mine but ultimately removed it due to the countless comments from people telling me I got a funny noise coming from my rear end, LOL. It was especially annoying while cruising the local hotel scene in Carlisle Pa, cause it would make those damn ratcheting sounds upon every turn.
The OP is also missing the bolts and retaining tabs on his main caps.

I found out it has a locker or whatever it’s called. There’s no spider gears so the teeth click if you spin one wheel.

I also found a bad bearing.

That’s what I have in mine. Lol I had no idea what the noise was until I pulled it apart. Not too excited for the constant noise but I’ll save some money up and get something down the road. Glad it’s nothing broken
