Anyone know where I can find a diaphragm for my Performance Engineering fuel pressure regulator? Or maybe material to make my own? It's just a square of material with holes punched through for the bolt holes. I fixed it temporarily with a piece of inner tube, but the inner tube only lasts a day and a half before the gasoline deteriorates the rubber. The place I bought the regulator from is out of business. Or if you can recommend a good speed shop that sells parts in Minnesota, preferably near St. Paul / Minneapolis. Here are some pics of the regulator and diaphragm.

I wonder if the Holley regulator diaphragm is the same size? Maybe even the diaphragm they use on the vacuum secondaries?? Bring it in to Pat...

Might check McMaster-Carr or other supplier for fiber reinforced Buna-N (neoprene) diaphragm sheet stock. A leather hand punch tool is used to cut screw holes. Inner tube rubber is a no-no, do not burn down your nice car!

Going to see Pat today. I already talked to him, he isn't sure if he has anything or not. I'm picking up a carb for a 66 GTO from him this afternoon. If he doesn't have a diaphragm I think I'll buy a new regulator and get it over with. It needs to run for Friday at North St. Paul.

Well, if I can't find anything or plumb in a bypass, it's getting a quick inner tube before I leave for NSP. I'm driving it one way or the other.

Woo-hoo! I tracked the guy down. I got a number from a guy who gave me a number to a guy who got me the number to John at Product Engineering. He is local. I called him and he not only has the parts available, but he lives in the northern suburbs and his shop is fifteen minutes from my house. I am heading up tonight to get a new diaphragm or two. I also bought a Holley regulator from Pat at The Carb Shop just in case.
