Good day gentlemen,

I am slowly getting around to working on my 68 Barracuda. I bought a front\-end suspension rebuild kit from PST towards the end of last year. I intended on rebuilding the entire front end and not messing with the brakes at this time. I've made the decision to replace or refurbish what I can, but I believe this car has already had a big brake conversion done on it. I'm struggling to identify what it came off of in order to purchase brake system components. I have attached some pictures in hopes that someone can give me an idea of what I need to look for as I'm not having any luck. I'm definitely a novice and dabble so I will apologize now for my ignorance on the subject. I am more than happy to get more pictures, part numbers, etc. if needed. I appreciate you for taking a look at my post!

I'd suggest a casting number off of the spindle but it looks like 73 and up Duster. Is it a 4.5 bolt pattern? If so its got the big upper ball joint.

that's all BBP stuff. so 73~76 A body, and a lot of the F/M/J as well.

just plug in 1974 dart as your "vehicle" for whatever site you're ordering off of and you should be golden.

These are not original to your cuda but will work well when refurbished. You now have the BBP lug pattern (5x4 1/2) which will give you larger wheel and tire selection in the future, even 15". Check to see if your rear axles are also the same pattern.

Uh, no, be careful here. What you say is true of the ball joints, brake parts, but if he still has the 68 style (67-72) steering link, then the parts associated with the center link, the idler arm, and the pitman arm need to be 72 and earlier.

The tie rod assemblies could be EITHER

DOES ANYBODY know how to access the archive BigBlockDart.com tech pages, there is a list there of front end parts.

EDIT: Found part of it,

72NuBlu saved it as a pdf

true, i guess i only focused on the brakes portion of it (which now reading back is slightly confusing in the wording) after he said that he had already purchased a front end kit from PST

Apologies for taking a minute to respond. I appreciate all the info gentlemen. The rear is the same patterns.

Apologies for the wording.

This is the kit I ordered. I figured I would be ordering more parts so not a big deal.
Polygraphite Performance Super Front End Kit

With everything being off the vehicle, would it be worth considering an upgrade to the brake system or will these single caliper pistons serve general driving purposes?

Nope that's the wrong kit. That has upper and lower ball joints for a 68-72 small bolt brake setup

You need upper and lower ball joints for a 73-76 Dart with disk brakes.

For the pitman and idler we need to see pictures of what you have. Most likely 68-72 A-body.

You probably won't be able to buy a "kit" per se.

This is the kit you linked to:

Hopefully these pictures are decent enough. If not, I will crawl under there and get some better ones.
