Location
Alaska
My Wife bought me a 69 convertible Barracuda. The problem is the complete front of the car firewall forward has been cut off. Does any one have blueprints - dimensions and possibly a list of all the body parts I will need? Did I also say Im in Alaska and a Donner car is slim to none.

You may have more project on your hands than is feasible given your location. It can be done, start with a factory service manual for the model and year. It is a unibody car so you will need a front subframe and k-frame. A fat checkbook will help as well. Welcome and keep us posted. Will be interesting if you proceed.
Good luck! DR---------:-)

No one ever said living here would be easy. Im getting close to retirement after 30+ years as a welder - Mechanic so I have time to spend trying to do this.

I'm thinking a 73 to 76 A body for a front lower doner if others think that would work. He might find a four door Dart or Valiant.. Then repo fenders are available I think.
I believe that hood from a beak Dart is even the same as a 69 Baracuda. Strange but true.

Im lucky I do have the hood. it and the rest of the car is with out dents or rust.

Welcome to FABO. I believe you will be able to use Dart / Valiant / Scamp front rails and suspension goodies, possibly inner fenders will match up as well. However, fenders are not reproduced and kind of tough to come by, not cheap for real nice ones. Shipping ads to the dilemma due to size. Header panels are "comebyable", but the grill is a search again. Not trying to be a downer, but these babies are challenging builds. Rust free body is a nice thing, nothing I have is! You have your work cut out, but you'll have a very nice car when completed.

Find an entire front clip from a 67-71 car, inner fenders and all.

I'll have one in SoCal soon if you can get it. Easiest way to replace a chopped off or rotted out front end.

Take a pic of what you have from firewall out. Check torsion bar crossmember for rot. If you don't have to replace that, makes the project a ton easier.

I just called my wife for pics. I am working very remote Alaska for the Air Force As soon as I get the pics. I will send them to you. How much for the front end? Will the complete pan - chassis work so I can swap parts.

Here are a few photos

I have seen one piece fiberglass front halves, probably used for racing. It would be easier than finding all of the OEM parts.

Well, fenders were just wishful thinking then.
That was off the top of my head.
I'm always surprised and what can and can't be found for "these cars".
I'm finding things for a first generation Charger that I didn't think I could find.
But other things like quarter panels.....no luck.
I figured it's a desirable Barracuda, maybe they were repoing fenders.

You know.....I can't figure this out either. They are popular, but I guess the quantity of potential buyers isn't a big enough market. I ended up welding 2 fenders together to get one. Not an uncommon task for us in the 67-69 crowd!

I have to admit I am still very excited to find even this much car up here in AK. From what i Gather of this post it wouldn't be a bad idea to start looking for fenders for this NOW!!!!!!!

I would take up member "crackedback" Rob on that front stub!! He might be as close as you can get, and always has very clean parts!! Not to mention he is awesome to deal with!!

Yes, you better start looking for those fenders, and nose cone with grilles, they are gonna be pricy too!!! Good luck with that project and welcome to FABO!!!

I hope these pictures help. I will loose internet during working hours out here for the Air Force. Please be patient with my time constraints to reply.

Contact Crackedback. Rob is a good fella. You have a heck if a project there. It looks very good from the missing front on back. It's just that missing front. YIKES!
