Need help Finding Owner

i bought a car with no title from Tennessee and ohio is making it incredibly difficult to get papers on it, they say i have to mail a registered letter to the last person who had the car titled bu i have no clue who that was and apparently its illegal for BMV's to give out that info? Am i missing something?

Write the letter put it in an envelope with your return address and have them send it, likewise check with your local law enforcement office. Send it certified that may help down the road.

I had to do this about 1989 here in California and DMV gave me the address.

Register it in Vermont and then have it titled in your state. Look up the Vermont loophole.

as of Now Ohio wont accept Vermont registation unless you can prove you lived there or bought it from someone from there.
