need help hooking up P/S (got pics)

hey y'all. this build is just plugging along...
My 72 Duster ( \6) has factory P/S and the engine that's I put in is from a 88 5th Ave (a 318 ) Here's the problem, the pressure side input of the steering box is a male (I removed it for clarity)...

this is the end of the hose off of the pump...

any suggestions?

that's probably a #6an fitting. get yourself a tube sleeve and tube nut. cut it off at the end put the tube nut and tube sleeve on and flair the tube with a tube flairing tool. you can get the nut and sleeve at you friendly neighborhood hotrod shop, jegs or summit.

ok, I have a flaring tool kit. I think I'm getting what you are saying. Cut enough off of the end off of the hose to get the male fitting off (which is metric...) and then put on a female 6AN (if thats the size) and flare the end of the metal hose/tube. Am i tracking???
