I've been working on a friend's '71 Valiant VG (think '69 Dart), and now that the engine is running I find the HVAC to be "MIA". (And as a commercial HVAC guy, this really bugs me!).
Here's what's in the dash:
Something like 4 of the buttons are pushed-in at the same time, and nothing pops back out (if that's what supposed to happen). Much like the rest of this puzzle I'm putting back together, I found a spare/used controller in the trunk, in a cardboard box, that came straight from Oz:
But it's in pieces:
So I guess my question is: Is this an Aussie-only thing, or does this look familiar to anyone here in the States? (Why do I ask, you say? Well, if I can score another one, I guess I won't worry so much if I break this one, you know?)
I'm not sure if I have time to dig into this, as I want to deliver the car back to the owner soon, and I've read some horror stories about taking these dashes apart, but it sure would be cool to get this working for Bazza!
