Need OD measurement of manual box input splines

Anybody have a manual steering box they can measure the OD of the input shaft with a dial caliper - right across the splines?

I have a "new" box and Firm Feel steering adapter with a loose fit and I'm trying to determine if it's the box or the adapter that's at fault. I have nothing to compare them to.

I get approx. 0.72" and my stock coupler fits snugly on a reman'd box.
