need recommendations for more power

Hi gang,

need recommendations for more power for my 340. It doesn't have enough power. I'm looking for around 1500hp.

What do you suggest?

Maybe 500 HP or so is doable with the 340 factory block. You'll be looking at a Ritter "XR" Racing Block or an HR-1 Engine Block for your goal in mind.

Prime gave the (partial) answer. Stroke the small block and use some serious heads with a big *** solid roller and sewer pipe exhaust and you'll be fine.

The only other logical option is to take the 340 and bore it, stroke it, boost it, 'n juice it.
