finally getting ready to drop the 340 into my 65 cuda im using the 904 trans with detroit style drive shaft its very healthy i believe it to be a 1965 as well im trying to buy a 2800 stall converter for it but most apps start from 72 on up any one know what will work for me? thanks jim

Later model 904 converters won't fit a '65 trans because spline count is different.
Early 904 converter won't fit the 340 crank properly because the snout is smaller than the crank hole, but adapter rings are available.

Might have to get a custom converter made or change more stuff.

contact PTC on monday and see what they say. lots of racers use their tq converters, made to customer's specs. i'm sure they will be able to help you.

they have a great rep over on moparts. their converters hold up and work well.
