Hi, I'm looking for some advise on what shocks I should buy for my 73 Duster.

How much money are you willing to spend?

I would be looking for dependable shocks for a daily driver. I don't need anything super fancy but would like them to be reliable. For price probably under $100 for a pair.

You could get a pair of KYB's at PST Suspension for around that with your membership discount. I'm sure could also get monroe gas shocks at Rock Auto for less.

You could also try find the Gabriel gas shock, they used to be not bad and are cheap enough if they are still sold.

I got bilsteins for the front where I have 1.03 tbars... but am looking for a shock for my stock old springs in the back.

eventually i will replace the rear springs, but not now.

monroes are actually not bad when new...but they usually don't last
This!! When I had my Scamp I put all new shocks on it the something came up that it sat for a few months. Went out and checked it one day and bounced it and the passenger front bounced different than the drivers side. A month or 2 later I rebiilt the whole frontend and when I pulled the new, hardly used passenger shock I could compress it by hand and it wouldn't push back out on its own, shot.
