Sometimes no sealer works and sometimes not. That's why I use it.Yup> Thats what I thought. I will try it soon on my Ragtop front and Hardtop rear. Both leaking. That's what I get for using no sealer.

Timely thread, and response, as I just bought (and I mean: JUST BOUGHT, as in last night ) a 10 pack of the CRL brand sticks on Amazon, plus two different Lisle windshield tools, as I need to replace both rubber seals (front and back) in my ‘67 F250. Never knew that rubber could take on a Bakelite-like hardness, so I’m hoping getting the old seals out will be harder than putting the new ones in.
Getting the old seals out is easy, Accept the fact you aren't trying to save the seals, break out a utility knife & you'll have the glass out without worry of breaking it in ten minutes...Timely thread, and res Never knew that rubber could take on a Bakelite-like hardness, so I’m hoping getting the old seals out will be harder than putting the new ones in.
Still on the fence about using sealant on them. Guess I’ll see what happens when it rains before I worry about it too much.
Yeah, I thought with new flexible gaskets I wouldn't need any. Oh well.Sometimes no sealer works and sometimes not. That's why I use it.
Don't forget the soap. I installed two Dart windows. One worked and one broke. I now pay to have it pro done. I use old seals on both. Maybe a new seal would work easier.I would like to see that. I installed my front and rear myself on both my Darts. If my memory serves me correct, I laid the bottom glass in the gasket and used thin rope to pull the sides and top. Maybe with the right hook style tool the rope wouldn't be needed. IDK
Don't Ever Say That!!!! Sounds way to much like a challenge!!!I bought a windshield from AMD for my 72 Challenger. It was shipped to me in a large box full of foam and other packaging. No way it could break during transit!
Good quality.
It's not the packaging, but the way it was shipped. Glass needs to be on end when shipped or stored, or it "can" warp. I use the word "can", because it also depends on other factors.Don't Ever Say That!!!! Sounds way to much like a challenge!!!
