need to confirm if the automatic and manual trans switches are the same as my book does not confirm it thanks

Not even close. Manual trans only has a two pin switch for the reverse light, and used a clutch pedal mounted switch to ground the relay.

Depending on year model, a manual trans build may not have a neutral safety switch at all.

No manual trans Mopar ever had a neutral safety switch. The ones that do have a circuit to ground the relay, all have a Clutch Safety Switch.
Manual trans only ever had a reverse light switch.
