new car on the jig

-
I'll be doing the same thing with a notchback. Where did you get your glass front end from?

The front end and hood came from VFN. They were the only ones with a 68. I got the rest of the components from Glasstek (doors, trunklid, bumper, dash and scoop). Glasstek only has a 69 nose.

Worked on replacing some of the rusty sheet metal. New quarter skins stretched for big tires and then rockers.

Very cool ride! With what I have seen so far you might have to detune this thing to only go 9.90 lol!! I had a throttle stop on my car for years to run both super gas and super pro, on a good day it would run 9.0's and I could dial in for super gas too, got tricky when you go farther through elimination's lol! Well we will keep our eyes on your projects progress!

Been a couple weeks since I have posted updates....built and installed new rockers, got the doors hung, battery tray, fuel pump and fuel cell mounts. Removed the chassis from the jig a put it on the rotisserie to comlete the welding, now fittng the front end. Sheet metal work soon!!!

nice ride, you could run super comp as fast as it's going to be. lots of throttle stop.
can't wait to see it finished.

Been a while since I added any updates on the Barracuda. Had to take care of a few other things. Got a "Brand X" back from the powdercoater and had to get it ready to go to paint. Also put a 2015 Dart on the jig!!!!
Just about got all the steel work done my car. Firewall, floor pans, etc. Just a few more items and it can go to the powdercoater. Shooting for the first of the year.

Love the shot's, Thank you. :thumbrig:

Curious to where the Dart is destined? A Comp ride or maybe a real expensive Top Sportsman car? :)

The dart is actually being built to run super gas/super comp and possibly top sportsman. Not really the best super class/bracket type car as visibility is poor.

Nice stuff going on there
The shop I work at has a few top sportsman rides being built and updated,I love race cars:burnout:
