LOL! What's not to love about two large polished aluminum boxes on top of a tunnel ram that sound like a pair Dominators?
Don't get me wrong, they can be a good running carb. They just aren't my preference for performance. Neither are your eddies...LOL. Jpeg, Jpar, what's the diff? Semi back, have some things worked out, still busy. Still no time for Facebook drama.... I offered u a carb, should u decide .LOL I think they're crap but I don't mind J peg using them LOL and it's back to jpeg now huh I'll consider you officially back now...
first and foremost thank you for the offer of the carburetor that's totally cool! Not sure which direction I absolutely want to go but that Street Demon sure does look cool.. I think two brand-new Chrome ones would look awesome sticking up out of the hood!??.. and what's Facebook LOL...Don't get me wrong, they can be a good running carb. ok so the avs-2 are a little price..........but here's a couple of links
AVS2 Carburetor #1902 500 CFM With Manual Choke, Satin Finish (Non-EGR)
Working got to get back to you in a few hoursHe's going to want the 1904 set up for dual quads.
Edit:
Never mind unless he's willing to sell some hoarded parts, like a NOS 68 fastback window trim. They are out of the project budget.
Also, @j par, what do you get out of the straight linkage? Plusses and minuses I saw that you've run both and prefer the straight.
Thanks in advance man.
I think the advantage of having a straight linkage is much more cost-efficient and ease of installationis as opposed to carburetors sideways and having all kinds of connections going in different directions and more money and takes a little skill to get hooked up correctly..He's going to want the 1904 set up for dual quads.

yes for this reason if I'm able to pull the trigger on the two new demons I would just get the full Chrome ones....I may be wrong but on a tunnel ram outside the hood, I'd say hot fuel in the bowls should not really be an issue!

Here is the science behind typical tunnel rams operating better with a direct rather than a progressive linkage, down in the tunnel ram section. Intake Manifold Comments
I'm ready for my cheeseburger on Wednesday again!..I only read a little of that link you posted. When I find at least 2 errors in the first two sections I punt.
There is ZERO reason for a TR to have throttle response better than anything else (it should) and it should idle better than anything else and posting the same carb CFM selection math is just dumb. That formula was wrong when it was written, and it's wrong now. Nothing has changed.
I'm firmly decided I want two brand new carburetors.. everything on the entire engine is brand new or was brand new when I first started it. Or brand new when I put it on. Except for the front carburetor that came with the car on the 318 and the back carburetor someone gave me as scrap metal.. I'm no longer interested in finding one that matches as you know and this quote isn't anything to do with your extremely generous offer but just to let you know where I'm at in my head. I just picture two brand new carburetors on my tunnel ram feeding my two brand-new heads. Yes I paid the money to have the bottom end done right so I could play with everything else..I have a 1850 Holley that came off a running vehicle about 4 yrs ago. If you are interested, they are dirt cheap to find, so if you find another, let me know.
They cut us off on straws as well unless you ask for them..Autozone sometimes has those 20% off sales, at that discount the AVS2 carbs drop down to $268 each. Unless you're in California, then they don't sell you anything, especially plastic straws.

Offer not valid on performance carburetors like Holly Edelbrock blah blah blah... thanks for trying though that's kind of what I'm looking for if I'm going to go for this I would like to see about a discount. Everybody is saying 288.86 it's almost like a damn Monopoly...Autozone sometimes has those 20% off sales, at that discount the AVS2 carbs drop down to $268 each. I thought you were going to advocate for the 750 carbs instead of the 625's?..You can buy two ProForm 750 double pumpers pretty economically if you look.
If you talk real nice to me, I can make you a smoking deal on some brand new TR linkage I have.
Then you'd be set.
