new exhaust

Hello all
I need to replace my exhaust system ... just old leaks, falling of car.
but I want to stay with the original exhaust manifold for the time.
Is there anyone who makes just the "exhaust pipe" for the 318 in an
A body?
I've been on summit, jegs, TTI, weldon, etc: and ouch on a few sites
I know I can have them made local, but around here you don't want to
be driving down the street with open manifolds blasting away...

I would just take it to a local muffler shop and support them.

Any thoughts on mufflers for this basic setup.
OEM exhaust manifold, probably go with a 2.25"
pipe, (stock is 1.6").
How far back should the muffler be placed...
right in front of the rear axle, further forward?

Depending on the car, there's usually an indentation in the floor board where the muffler(s) can go and that's usually under the rear seat area and just ahead of the rear axle.
