Hey everyone. I've browsed a little bit, but am just now joining.
As far as my history, I've always been into cars. Up to this point I've been primarily a GM guy, I've done Cutlasses, GTO's, Camaros, plus a few others. I even have a few Edsels. But I've never had the opportunity to get into a Mopar. I like all makes of cars, obviously. So this last summer I finally got the chance to get this 65 Dart for a deal. It was a super nice original paint body. The only rust on the car is the 1/4 panels behind the rear wheels. Other than that, the floors are amazing, and perfect, no dents even. Underhood was just as sweet. Even the battery tray is mint. All it took underhood was a scuff and shoot. It's an original 273 car, but it came with a 69 Roadrunner 383 Magnum, and a 318. I'm probably going to make the 318 work since I already have mounts for it, and I don't want to cut the car up to make the 383 fit. I'm just wrapping up the front end restoration,
with a front disc install with parts from 77 Fury. I've also got a narrowed rear out of a Cuda I need to install after I relocate the springs. I'm going to try and retain the original paint where I can, I need to repaint the fenders that were replaced when the car rolled into a wall obviously. I also need to find the front outer headlight trim, and the RH door trim also, not having much luck with that! It's easier to find parts for my Edsel is seems!
Anyways, enough with the talk. Here's my starting point.
