New vinyl top and headliner are installed. The installer left the headliner extra long at the front and wrapped it around and the pinch weld and held it in place with multiple clips for transport on my open trailer. So, I'll definitely need to trim this back before installing the windshield rubber. Can anybody give me a clue or photo that shows how far to cut it back?

Thanks

Sorry - I found the answer in a better search. It looks like it needs to be trimmed back just far enough so it does not get under the rubber at the pinch weld and interfere with the seal. The teeth will still grip the headliner fabric and the rubber flap inside will cover the teeth and serve as interior trim.

I glued mine around the pinch weld with spray adhesive. Thought it would hold up better. Had a little trouble with installing the windshield, but it worked

Yes! You got the correct answer.
Enough to allow the teeth some bite but not interfere with the pinch weld for the gasket. I had mine (headliner) done by a professional and he cut it using the pinch as a guide. The glass guy took it back about 1/4” for proper fit when he did the front and rear glass on my 66’ Barracuda.

Both these car have the original head liners and they did not wrap around. The were glued tight with contact cement. A vinyl was also but on the Demon. The top get cut just under the screw holes for the clips.

Thank you one and all! Glass man cometh this week. He's done Mopars before so we're all set.
