Hello Everyone,
I bought a 71 Dart about a month ago and of course I found your site soon after that and have been reading it since then. To be honest this is the most informative motorsports board I have come across. Some of you guys are very knowlegable and what's great is you don't mind sharing it.
I am not new to cars. I have rebuilt a couple cars and just finishing up an El Camino for my son. Never any Dodge, Chrysler or Plymouths though. I guess I always felt there were too few parts available. And not seing any coils under the front end, well just seemed weird.
I have rebuilt many automatic transmissions and motors of all sorts over the years. I am not very good at it. But there is what I like to call the "fun factor". Which makes up for the pain side.
By the way the car is:
71 Dart
318 w/904 & 7 1/4" (as bland as milk toast) for now.
I bought a complete front end kit from Firm Feel and will be installing it in a couple of weeks. I will let you know how it goes. Right now the car feel like it has 2 marshmellows up front for springs. Yuck.
Anyway I am glad I found you guys.
