Hello
I have been a car guy my whole life. Age 60 now. I work for Ford Motor co. When I was a child about 12 years old my stepfather owned a 1966 Formula S Barracuda with a 4 speed. That car left a huge impression on me all this time and I am looking to purchase one. He sold the car to his teenage sister around 1976. She blew the clutch out of it and it sat for several years. When my brother and I got old enough to drive we tried to get her to sell us the car but no luck. She loved her first car and would not part with it even though it was just sitting. Long story short she met and married a mechanic that fixed the car and while I was in the service they sold the car for around $6000 to have a down payment on some property. Now that I am older and with more means the bug has hit me to start my search for one. I see the prices vary widely on them. Looking at one I have seen online at a Dealer and the asking is $39000.00. As I have been searching I have also discovered I really like the 65 and 66 Darts as well. Whatever I purchase it will have to be a 4 speed. Thanks for allowing me to join

Welcome to the forum. Those cars come up for sale from time to time. I just sold my 66 Dart. It didn't take long and there were a few interested soon after I posted the sale ad. If you are looking, start a wanted ad (in the Marketplace Forums). No need to mention your budget. You may get a better deal if you don't. Good luck.

welcome aboard! I have my first car, a 66 Formula S 4 spd. purchased just before my 17th birthday. My dad had a 66 automatic which I used for my driver test
