Bought the car with weld wheels. Not allowed in the gasser class.

Then we bought torque thrust for the front and steel for the rear. The rear 12 inch steel were heavy. We could not get 12 inch torque thrust with 7 1/2 back space. We found you could order S200's in 1/4 increment back space so that is what was ordered and they came . I think I am going to order the same wheels for the street car Demon.

We bought a new 6 inch drop axle to replace the straight axle and are redoing the rear frames and suspension to drop the rear Same as the demon race car. There are rules to meet for East Coast Gassers.

We bought it as a automatic bracket car . Glass doors , Bumpers and deck lid. All lexan windows We have the demon but the Gasser class has to be 66 or older and 4 spd.

Steve just told me he was talking to Dan about the clutch and is ordering a Hydraulic Peddle assembly. flywheel and twin disc from Brewers. The go to for place your 4 spd needs. He is going to run a liberty 18 spline with a Mr. Gasket Vertigate.

Gassers have a 12 inch minimum height requirement at the rocker behind the tire unless you have a straight axle. Then you can run a drop axle and no minimum height. Low prevents it lifting on the big end at higher speeds . When the air gets under the front it will lift the whole car. We took a lot of weight off the front with the straight axle and the car is super light.

Nice Valiant! I like the forklift also. Great item to have around, never know what you might use it for.
