Crap. Going around corners I keep hearing a wierd noise. I dont know why I didnt think to check the tires till today. Its happend the last few times Ive driven the car. The tires are bias ply and Im not runing tubes. Today I drove the car to work and kept hearing the noise. So I look around the car and notice the sidewall is wrinkled :D , Check the air pressure 12lbs. Opps Had some air leak out. Then I checked the inside of the tire. The sidewalls all chewed up. :?

I reilled the tires. This time up to 32lbs instead of the 25lbs I had before. No more rubbing but the tires are just to wide for the rim. I think I'll save up and get something with less section width.

These tires are 10.5" tread width and 13.1" section width. I think I may pick up some QuickTime Pros next time. 28X11.5-15s have 10" thread and only 11.5" section and wont look as wierd on my 8.5" rim.

O'well Live and learn. :eye:

Yeah, when they're full of air they dont seem to rub. Just about time to put the car away for the winter anyways. :(

Try some nice snow tires...... :D

I had that problem when I put the 29.5" slicks on my Duster. I was able to fix it with a hammer.

Yeah I think I may give that a shot.

I installed mini-tubs flush with the side of the frame when I moved my springs in (the stock inner fenders were long gone when I got the car). I have old fashioned Pro-Trac N50-15 tires (11.5 tread, 12.5 sidewall) and still have a rubbing problem from time to time on turns. The only tire damage is scuffing to the white letters on the inside.

Ive considered mini tubbing it wich would take care of the problem in my case. I still have about 3" to the frame rail. However then Id have to loose my rear seat and Id like to keep it in there.

Sorry, I didn't hink of that. Because I don't have the open cargo area like your Cuda does, I was able to keep the seat. The only real change is in the trunk.

Yeah sometimes I wish I had a Dart or Duster so I could tub it and still have a seat.
