Good afternoon, all. My name is Howie and I'm here as I'm occasionally seeking information as I help my dad with his recently acquired '73 duster. As an enthusiast, I'm more of a late model Chevy and early (like flathead) Ford, but I worked doing fleet maintenance and heavy-line stuff in college.
The car is a black '73, with a 440 out of a '71 Plymouth in it. Trans is a 727. We're in the process of swapping in an 8.75" rear. I'll be diving into brakes and fuel next. It will need a bunch of bodywork, too.
Hoping to build a solid driver with him he can enjoy in his retirement, and one that doesn't give my wife a heart attack when he takes the grandkids in it!
