Good afternoon, all. My name is Howie and I'm here as I'm occasionally seeking information as I help my dad with his recently acquired '73 duster. As an enthusiast, I'm more of a late model Chevy and early (like flathead) Ford, but I worked doing fleet maintenance and heavy-line stuff in college.

The car is a black '73, with a 440 out of a '71 Plymouth in it. Trans is a 727. We're in the process of swapping in an 8.75" rear. I'll be diving into brakes and fuel next. It will need a bunch of bodywork, too.

Hoping to build a solid driver with him he can enjoy in his retirement, and one that doesn't give my wife a heart attack when he takes the grandkids in it!

Welcome Howie. The 73 Duster is my favorite for the Duster. Make yall a build thread in the appropriate so you can keep us posted.

I realized I haven't taken nearly enough photos of the car. The first shot is the car coming home, the second is with the rear end freshly installed and the American Racing Vector's being test fit. The C4 on the other side of the garage was my first car - had it almost 20 years, and that's a whole other story.
