i built a "for now" website for my new soda blasting business. never done anything like a site and amazed i had patience enough to build one... but i did.

right now i can't get it to come up on a search engine search but will come up off a link. apprently thats just a time thing and should be opperational in a bit. (hopefully)

can you guys have a look and see if you can access it? its basic so dont hack a newbie too badly. lol

Your new website looks nice, clean and inviting. Promoting the "Green" element was a smart idea.

Looking good shrifs, I did access it and looked at your work
I hope you the best and the go green thing is a good thing.:happy10:
That stuff sure does the job 8) I hope you stay busy

thanks guys i appreciate the look and the kind words

i researched the blasting thing for a long time before i spent the money. the automotive part is a very small part, its the other stuff is where the money is. mold removal for example, some soda companies charge $3000-5000 a DAY for blasting. smoke and fire damage is $2500 a day and up.
i have a few government agencies interested and a few online allready so i am keeping my fingers crossed.
2 weeks ago i did a grafitti removal job, 2 nights ago i looked and all i did was leave them a fresh canvas to redo their handy work. awesome!! perpetual work. lol

Sorry but I found a Typo on your site. "Certain" is spelled incorrectly in the last sentence. Everything looks great. I envy you for starting your own business.

3 things:
I would standardize your fonts (sizing and color) across the pages.
Capitalize your "advantages" and "projects" links at the top.
Under your "Advantages" link, make sure your spacing between the green font headings and the black font details is consistent.
Otherwise, your site looks really professional . Best of luck on your venture!

Sorry if I appear to be really anal about the details, but it's what I do for a living (content programming/quality assurance) that makes me this way :snakeman:

i will make the changes guys. i appreciate the advice.

It's simple and straightforward. It's really nice to see a page that's not stuffed with a bunch of sparkling crap and flash presentations.

Here are links to add a site to google and yahoo meta-crawl operations. There are probably similar items for other search engines.

I wish you the very best in your endeavor.

Hey Chris-

What did you end up doing to get the equipment and training? I'm curious about possibly doing this myself. I found STRIPCO http://www.sodablasting.com/ and they're obviously serious players (feat. w/Chip Foose on RIDES), but I wonder what the entrance fee is to something like this...

i bought my set up from problastusa.com they are all around the same price so its the features that are nice. mine is stainless which will hold out alot longer than steel. they are all salesmen though and will tell you what you want to hear. stripco and soda works are the same

figure 10g for a good set up plus a 185cfm compressor. i bought a 2007 ingersoll with 600 hrs for 11g new they are around $19-22000 soda, you have to search to find the best deal, i have bought anywhere from $30 to $40 for a 50lb bag. you can burn through approx 50 to 80lbs a hour depending on the blasting diesel +truck+ little stuff, it is not a weekend warrior type of investment but can be a very well paying one if you do your homework and beat the bushes for work. its amazing what you can blast with it. it wont leave you dead like sand and you dont need huge protective equipment.

training, watch all the youtube video's you can. lol if you have sandblasted you have the concept. not hard to learn at all. i did "sample" stuff for guys and that has helped. I still have alot to learn but its coming. pressures and adjusting the soda flow is the hardest and its easy. 2 hrs blasting and you will be confident to go to work.
even though cars are my first love i am not going after the car market too heavily lots of cheapskates when you give them a hourly rate you hear a gasp. not the client you want. hard to explain to guys what a car looks like after its been blasted like that.

if you live in area that has a grafitti problem this will pay itself off quickly.

alot of the bigger companies love the word "GREEN" as well

Just a short question,if ya don't mind.I tried everything to cleam my driveway of grease, rust, antifreeze, some paint, you name it but i can't even dent it.Tried all sorts of cleaners too.Something like your soda blasting a possible answer?Thx for any reply.8)

Dreno
soda will work well but......if its paved you need to get rid of the soda quickly afterwards, soda and the asphalt dont mix well. lots of compaines use soda to blast road lines off.
concrete? no problem, it will work well but your blaster has to be careful to not reprofile it. (exposing the rocks below) just dont get too close.
you also have to be a bit careful around plants and vegitation as it will yellow your lawn and kill the pedals on flowers (not the whole plant just wither the flower pedals) it has to do with high PH levels in the soda. best bet is to just wet down your lawn or spread out a tarp.

so yes it can be done. lots of blasters out your way. try the problast website under owners and you will find a bunch in your area (not plugging problast just the owners of the equipment)
