I got a lead on a storage unit choked full of Mopar Parts from the guy I picked a couple months ago. Same original owner of both piles of parts just in different locations. The guy passed away and left the hoard to his wife and daughter that said they were about to loose all the stuff due to the high unit rental. Paid a fair price for this stuff plus the UHAUL truck and for help loading. Hopefully I can recoup my investment on this stuff. He had a few B body cars in various stages of restoration 68-69 RT Chargers, which unfortunately I couldn't afford, so I hooked up a local member on that part of the deal. Here is a couple pics.
It'll take a week or so to shift through this but it will be hitting the sale adds soon! Hopefully I can find some stuff for A body guys can use.

Glad the family didn't just call a scrapper.

Glad you are there to distribute the parts to the faithful

There is a hoard near me, huge wherehouse, cars etc, if I had the space I would make an offer on the lot. Put my covid checks to good use!
By my estimation the parts inside would fill 2 to 3 40 foot shipping containers packed tight.

I too just brought home a horde of parts from Florida, gonna unload the truck tomorrow and see what all I got...LOL

nice score. what a mess though.. guy hoarded all that crap for years and never got to use any of it.. damn shame. i really need to clean out my sheds and all and thin things out.

Doing the same thing, when you think about the space/stress freed up it's a relief (for me anyway). Altho I do love pickin'!

It definitely take all my garage space and then some. My cuda is back out side along with my bike. Till I get the space back.

I was told that the guy got bit by some fire ants and died. 56 years old or so.

Wow, that's a lot of stuff! I used to have a VW parts hoard like that and am glad it is long gone! I had a Dodge truck parts stash too that it mostly gone! It's fun going through all that stuff, but it is a LOT of work! Thanks for what you do, Al!

Yes it is a lot of work. And dirty. Luckily I am retired, so it gives me something mopar to do. Help keep all you guys going on your projects.

Well after almost a week of sifting through all this, I may end up with about half of what I came home with. At least one trailer full of scrap going to the metal recycler. A couple weeks of trash can pick ups. A small mountain of cardboard and box recycle. A couple pallets and boxes of Camaro/chevy parts ( who needs that stuff? ).

About another week of sorting through the left over parts after separating all the garbage, I can't understand how someone who is collecting / hoarding this still, store this stuff in 3 to 4 different locations, paying rent to store it, figures he'll do something with it someday, The massive piles of parts were just piled, thrown on top of everything, smashed, bent and broken. It's a challenge to find enough decent parts to sell to make it worth while.

Oh ya, I see a lot of small parts clean outside coming up soon from this massive pile of goodies!

You live 10 feet from the ocean......surely there are some people who need anchors for their boats? LOL

Yep that foot pedal sealed the deal!

Sealed the deal for me too when I bought my 73 Cuda. I now have the coveted baby foot for the dimmer switch too.

I'll be back in Florida next week and will ping you. Hopefully I can pick up a few more things from you. I need to see the south end of the island this time so you won't have to load anything up, I'll come to you.
