Next bracket car

Heres the Duster I told a few about that i am going to build a bracket car out of. Need a hood and grill plus front and back glass. pm if you have what i need. I added the wheels and i,m gonna pull the 318 and install the 360 in the last pic its a 13 to 1 360 that ran 7.2o 1/8 mile in a 71 swinger. Got the itch to race again.

you know im loosing everything i dont need. havent cranked the teen. hell i havent looked at the numbers. might be a 340 with a crap intake throwed on it. i wish lol.

Ya' yank that "boat anchor" and put the "real' motor in it...

for a bracket hotrod i'd suggest using mar-proof lexan front and back, shoot even the sides. buy a sheet or two and cut your own out. glass weighs a ton anyway. if you remove the interior and make the side panels out of lite weight foam and use one plastic racing seat with the fiberglass hood you ought to get it down under 3000 lbs.

closest track is lonestar raceway. its about an hour away.

Slots are COOL, have been looking for 2- 15x8.5's for my valiant...

They are 14x6 and 15x10 with 295 50s and 205 70s

Slot's are one of my favorites dardevil, as long as they are not unalug .
I have had a set a swore them off ever again

Looks like a nice starting point. I would run lexan if it is going to be a drag only car. I am working on my door right now and it is looking like going to lexan will cut 30 pounds out of each door. Looking good so far.
