Anyone know the height and width of a Nitto NT555 on an 8" rim? It's time for new tires on the back of my Duster, as the ones it came with are 17 year old Grand Ams. Yep, straight into the dumpster. They measure out at 27.5" x 11", and they fit well enough (especially with new springs that haven't settled yet). Wish I had 4.5" backspace instead of 4", but it is what it is. TIA.

This is what tirerack.com says for NT555RII

That's what I found last night on another site, I was just hoping for a more "real world" measurement. I've got tires on my other rigs that didn't end up measuring what the published numbers said.

If you're actually mounting them on an 8" rim those should be very close to the measurements. Those measurements vary quite a bit by manufacturer and tire model, so, one 275/60/15's specs may not (and probably won't be) the same as another.

The other thing is the "measuring rim" is important. For a 275/60/15 the measuring rim is an 8" wide rim, so, the measurements should be close if you're using an 8" rim and doing the measurements correctly. If you use a 9" rim the measurements will be different, and if you use a 7.5" rim the measurements would be different again in the opposite direction.

This is how mine fit right now, new General springs (I didn't order 1" higher, but they sure look that way), and the fender lips aren't rolled. The picture's a little goofy, but there's 3/4" to the springs.

Gonna need more backspace or more ride height...
Agreed, Lear springs will fix this issue. The wheel back space is under 4 inches.

It’s not the tire in question. But is it the same size and what rim do you have on there?

Quick disclaimer... the car has a cut-down 8 3/4, but I can't swear that it's stock A body width.

Not sure of the brand, but they're the cheap cast aluminum ones that everybody sells. 8" with a 4" BS.

The tires you’re asking about are close but do fit. I can’t say how far off of the wheel lip they are. The car isn’t close to me. The wheels are old Cragars with something like (I really don’t remember the exact depth but….) 3-5/8, IIRC.
Oh! The rear is an 8-1/4, FWIW. 72BluNblu would know the off sets and axle widths for sure. (He’s my go to guy!)

Your rear tires are very close to the leaf spring.
