Hey guys!

So I have a 75 Duster and it all of a sudden stopped wanting to start up. I could turn it on (started poorly) through putting a screwdriver to the starter so I thought it was just worn out so I replaced the starter today. Nope, still not working. I turn the key and just nothing. The ignition cylinder is also (9 months) newer. Does any one have any ideas what it could be?

You need to be more specific with your info. 'nothing' What does that mean?

Does it mean you can crank it by "screwdrivering" the relay? No? Yes? Does it crank if you jumper the two starter terminals? Yes? No?

Is this a stick? Auto? Do you have a clutch safety switch?

Look under the hood. Is there a metal box looks like a horn relay which has a big reset push button?

Have you done any testing? Test light? Meter? Clip leads?

Could be a number of things i had similar issues with my 74 duster. My problems were a combination of the Neutral safety switch,Seat belt interlock, and Ecu.

and/or a bad reluctor, burned out ammeter/melted or corroded bulkhead connectors etc

Definitely need a few tools to sort this out - a multimeter, wiring diagram, some knowledge. Believe it or not, all are free. Search here.
