I bought a 65 Dart, 360 motor in it, no history on the car, The harmonic balancer is the weighted cast crank, I haven't crawled under to see the blocks displacement to verify it. someone has marked it with chalk on the TDC line, but there's no tab for timing the dang thing. any ideas?

pre 70 timing chain covers had timing marks on passenger side....post 70 small blocks balancer and timing chain covers are on the driver side....miss matched parts...

So early cover on a late block/ not good!
As a side note, I see your user name is 70 AAR, That was my first new car, FM3 Panther Pink, black interior 4 speed, damm, what a car!!!

and a 65 had no tab cast in, it was a bolt on. Find TDC with a piston stop and make your own pointing to anything you wnt.

Find top dead center on #1 piston and mark the balancer accordingly.
