No Windshield seal for my 66 dart gt convertable

It seems that nobody makes an aftermarket windshield seal for my 66 Dart GT convertible. Does anyone know if the hardtop seal can be modified and used? Or what other options might I have. I just finished painting the car and want to get the glass in place. I'm nearing panic mode... Please help!

I clean any reuse originals anyway. It's not really a seal. It's a gasket, more of a medium, between glass and metal. The butyl does the sealing. Newer car bodies are built with enough precision that the glass will seal laid on top of the body/glass bed.
For ours, the rubber absorbs the imperfections.
Bottom line, a good used rubber will work.

Check with Ulf - 65dartcharger - in Sweden. I sent 2 convertible windshield seals to him. Maybe he will sell you one of them.

Not sure what the difference is. Laysons claims they have one that fits all the convertibles. Thanks to ScampMike for the lead.

Most 49 year old seals are pretty much toast...Good luck on that. The one on my 64 came out in "chunks"

the hardtop seal will work just fine . The only difference is in the top edge of the seal on the convertible is a little bit larger(or was it smaller???) to hide the metal showing when you put the chrome inner and SS outer trim on. I seem to remember the outer trim was ok but the inner needed the black tape to hide the white painted top rail from seal to trim. I used black tape (but should have just spayed it when I did my 64, now that I'm redoing the 66 I'll just paint it flat "ish" black to match the seal and it'll look just like the original.

OOPS. dang memory's fading again..I just looked at my build file and it (the convertible seal)was smaller than the hardtop on the inner top flange but the hardtop did work fine. I used tape to hide a slice in the inner seal from me pulling the soapy rope through too fast.
