nonop camera issue

went to take some pics of a part & the camera seemed to work fine & had worked fine before but at home it would not upload em to the computer, just showed a dark square covering about 7/8 of the screen. I had a neighbor who knows a little bit & he said something about the SIM card not being in all the way & worked on it for a bit & he said the camera is needing to be replaced. it is a samsung ST72 small mini camera. any thoughts & thank you for your time. RR

Some basic stuff........

Do your images show correctly on the camera display?

Did you try lowering resolution for the images you want?

Maybe try a usb memory card reader instead of transferring from the cam.

dave yes the images are clear, the photo size is 1984x x1488 (3m) on your post. I will see if I can lower the resolution. I dont know how to work a USB card

Ya' take the memory card out of the cam, plug it into the card reader, then plug the reader into a USB port on your confuser.

I took the camera in to the Geek Squad at best buy & they said the camera is OK & to bring the computer in
