D.m .,that's nice! Out on the west coast,these imports can get insane amounts of money ,pumped into a project. Mine was Datsun /Nissan. They are fun,they are different.
 
just looks like another one of the 2 million bugs out there with the cell and radiator in the front. the last rotory engine I had I threw away. sorry , it does nothing for me lol
 
Run the scalding coolant lines in the pass. compartment?? No thanks. I'd say, by now, there's been every possible engine put into a bug

im not impressed with the wide body kit
the headlight no longer sit in the center of the fenders and it makes it look weird
 
Maybe Tony Fields will chime in about his old bug

Don't care for the wider fenders. From some of the junk I've seen around here doesn't look like a bad price if you are into that stuff.
 
A non-turbo rotary with a very short exhaust system? It can't not be unbelievably loud in a high pitched way.

I built a 74 but with a 13bT rotary about a decade ago... it was WAY too much power for the little thing. sure was fun though.
