Picked up this luber at a yard sale for 30 bucks. Decided to take a break from the car and restore it. Before and after pics.

I believe and correct me if I'm wrong. The tank was filled with motor oil and it has a crank which operates a pump that pumps the oil up to the tube to fill an oil can with a spout to pour into your motor.

Yep, that's what it does. I have one I got years ago that I still need to restore. Was looking at it today and noticed the dipstick went missing.
 
My dad had a friend who owned a service station that he worked at when he was in his late teens.
He still owned it when I was little in the 60s. Dad would take me when he went to get gas and visit him. I remember seeing one and how it was used. It was a two tank version.
