ok, I have my 70 swinger and as for now not too much is going on with it. I found a 72 swinger that is a rust bucket. my question is should Ibuy it for parts for my 70? my door strikers are torn and the 72's are not. it has a complete drive line (althoug Iam not sure of its condition) will the hood, fenders, front valance, hood latch braacket work on my 70? it is a v8 auto and i think it is a 7 1/4..... he hasa title so i am sure i could strip it and then scrap the body........and i am not sure if it has drum or disc.....input??????

thanks!!!

first off, welcome to fabo!!!!! secondly parts cars (if you have someplace to keep em) are indispensable. a '72 rust bucket in hand, is worth 20 in the scrap yard. they just are getting too hard to find nowadays. heck, you can maybe fix the '72 up, and make a profit. good luck on your quandry!!!

Parts cars are invaluable for grabbing all the little pieces you need, or even as a reference. Grab it.

I bought a parts car recently and have allready made back every cent on the parts I don't need .If you have the room and can afford it, go for it ! The hood, valance, and fenders will fit but the side markers are different and will not mach the rear markers unless you can splice the 70 units in.Also if the fenders are good they are worth a few $'s 72 is a one year only 70-71's are the same and 73 up are different. How are the bumpers ?

yes on the parts car! if your gonna scrap it, keep ALL the factory nuts and bolts you can find! Take out the pedal assembly, steering column, dash, clean it up blast it paint it and sell it!

the car is missing quite a bit. almost all the interior, all the glass and he is not sure if the trimis in the trunk. the roof is rusting at the seams. although his does have power steering and mine does not........hmmmm. the fenders looked to be better than mine. my hood and hood hinges are crap as i am sure the valance is too. i am waitingto see if he accepts my offer. he alsoo had a 67 barracuda for sale.........RUSTY not interested in it though.
