How would airgap vs Offenhauser Turbo-Thrust Power Port 360 with dual Quad Model number off the bottom section is 5940 and the top section is 5915 M, off the line. My goal is for the front wheels to see air. lol See pic Below 2 posts

What intake? Got a picture of the combo?

I just got rid of one of those. I never tried to use it, but the guy I sold it to sure was happy to get it. BTW, the top is on backwards.

Never mind. I'll try them both and figure it out on my own.

Thats what is known as a tunnel ram..as for getting your tire/tires off the ground that can be accomplished with a "stock stroke" 360 running an Air Gap...

Theres no details or insire to what your build is. The intake alone doesn't help you do wheel stands. Infact, it's probably the bottom 5 items that count towards wheel stands.

Mag did a flog on B/RB intakes and to everyones suprise, the Offy Tunnel Ram beat everything in torque and HP. You want to raise the wheels? Get a 5000 stall convertor or a heavy clutch, slicks, subframe connectors and a 4 link and almost any motor. Now how long you can pull that wheelstand is up to the motor...

If they did testing and included Offey, I think they would outperform almost everything manifold vs manifold........

They just don't sell by hype.

i currently run an eddy street ram .i ran the rpm air-gap before that.although im far from doing wheel stands there are several members here that can vouch for the fact that it is a very streetable set up.they have seen it in person.the air gap made more torque in the lower rpms as you would expect.but i didnt lose enough to make me want to change back considering the amount of power it picked up on top.i think with some good tuning and conservative carbs youll like the end result.hope this helps.

Thanks Phista and 340 8BBL, nice to have some intelligent responses. I think with a 422 stroker, solid roller cam .576 lift, 3200 stall, and 4:10 gear, the tunnel ram might be kinda fun.

Only KINDA??? That would be BAD A$$!! IMO...

Don't know which would be better though... 2 small carbs or 1 big one.... choices choices choices...

considering he has a manifold with a top for 2 carbs, id have to say two small carbs.
