This Morning we got up to go look at a MGB in storage not even a mile away from our house. We walked in and this giant heated cement floor garage was filled with cars and boats. The first thing I see when I walk in is a AMC pacer sticking out from the boats, we had to walk by it to get to the mg so on the way back we stopped and took a look. The car is MINT! MINT interior , rug, seats , headliner ect ect. everything is all orig. and mint! MINT body and engine bay underneath ect., we didn't think much of it until the storage unit manager mentioned it might be for sale. we called and this is the scoop. the owner is 84 years old . at one point he had 45 pacers, this is the only one he kept and drove it into this storage in 1988 and never even registered it in vt, Colorado car. its a 254 straight six and a four speed manual trans - 1979 AMC pacer DL wagon 254 4 speed all orig. 50,000 miles, Blue with wood grain, Im going to let some people guess what we paid for the car and then I will say...

here's some pics

That's a Pacer wagon and they are pretty rare. I think it has a 258. Never heard of a 254.

100 bucks.

And if you turn them upside down they make one hell of an aquarium.

You actually bought it for 200? What a steal. I would get it runnin and drive the wheels off it.

If you ever get it to Philly or Toronto they both have the same guage streetcars and that car will track perfectly on the rails , in high school a classmate used to pull in behind a streetcar and let go of the wheel , it was like riding on glass and made all the turns the tracks had .

The things you learn....

Even for a pacer I'd have paid that! Nice find! Oh, and put a jeep 4.0 in it!

Did you get the MG?

not looking to sell it right now, Im going to get it out , clean it , wax it , new tires, plugs, and have my dad drive it to work a couple days before winter and I will tinker with it the winter, Yes we are going to get the mg to, That's going to get a srt-4 turbo motor

Score! I would have bought it too for that price. They are pretty cool pro streeted. tmm
