have a 72 duster that has a 360 engine. Not sure what year the motor is. Wanting to hook up an oil and temp gage. Any suggestions.

do I need anything special for the 360 motor. Do I need the sending units also.Where do each sending units install on the motor. Thanks

Oil pressure sending unit/gauge is the 1/8 pipe threaded hole beside the distributor, and you'll want the temp probe upstream, but close to the thermostat.

Oil pressure where the oil light sending unit is. Temp depends on what you have in the block. Do noy T it off it will read wrong.

Water temp with the wire to it

There are two types of both Mechanical which will have a line of sorts going from the port to the guage and the electrical type that has a send ing unit at the port with wires to the guage. Really a personal preference. Either one go quality on them.

On my '69, I installed a 1/8"NPT "street" tee fitting, which is one male thread and two female threads, at the oil-pressure outlet. I used one side to feed a VDO mechanical gauge, and the other side to feed an Allstar 99059 oil-pressure light switch, which comes on at 20PSI unlike the factory's 4PSI "already too late" switch.

I wouldn't be without a gauge, but the instantaneous "oh ****" factor of a light coming on can't be beat.
