I have a 73 duster with a 360 I wanting to buy a street stip style pan. I was looking at the canton #CTR-15-910. or the milodon MIL-30940. or any other options people are using. but looking for fitment opinions and any helpful info you might have. thanks Mike

I'm running a Kevco M301. Fitment was real good. Had to clean out a little bit of weld splatter inside though. Here's a link to their website

Forgot to mention it but the Kevco is about the same ht. as a stock pan so no problem smacking it on the ground like some of them do. I think it was a Moroso I had a long time ago that hung down real low. Had to very carefully creep over speed bumps. A crown in the road would hit it a lot of times also.

Don't get the milodon mines smacked the ground more than once.with careful driving.but you live you learn

Totally possible with ANY pan that sits below the k frame. My road race milodon oil pan sits above the k frame.

Has anyone used the canton? I have lots of friends running them in mustangs and there very nice. The kevco looks nice also thanks for the info. When I say street and strip I mean like 35 miles a month and maybe a trip a month to the track.

Heard good news about the Kevco. The shop I worked with built a 340 with the traditional Milodon pan. Damn thing sag way too low. Their road race pan looked interesting, kinda pricey.

Probably in the next month or two my brother's going to buy a Kevko for his 340 build...I'll let ya know when it goes on.

Another vote for Kevko. I'll be buying one soon for my 408 build.

Milodon has filled the void between stock depth and their 8 qt.
Their 7 qt. 30941 is listed as being a full inch shallower than their 8 qt. 30940.

I've heard some people like their road race pan as well. But it is more expensive.

Do some research on header clearances. I use TTI's with my 8 qt. Milodon. I don't remember if any header will fit their 7 qt. or road race versions.

On my race car, I always preferred the 30940 Milodon 8 qt. over the Moroso 8 qt.version because not only was the Milodon a little shallower, it was enough to keep it from contacting the track in my application. The 360 Moroso also has the drain plug on the bottom, which aggravated the situation.

The Milodon road race pan fits well above the K. I bought a Kevko once and returned it, as it looked like it was welded in kindergarten.

Both TTI and Doug's headers fit the road race pan just fine. That said TTi sit just a little closer to the pan due to their size.

thanks everyone for the replys I went kevco mostly cause of price. its seems to be nice I seen many pictures. 90%+ seem very happy I hope I get the same product.

If not, send it back, tell them your concerns and get another one. I'm going to buy one directly from Kevko so that if I do get a bad one, I won't have to deal with a middle man.
