Oil through or not?

well, if all that excess isn't going to the heads, it has to go somewhere! Bushed lifter bores, so it ain't puking out there. And, it's not pouring out the cam bearings. I checked all this stuff with a drill running the pump before final assembly.

One more thing. This motor in it's last incarnation was 566HP and I pounded the snot out of it for 4 years. When I decided to up the power and "freshen" it up, we re-used the rod and main bearings. They were like new. No BS.

I respect your opinion, Turk, as usual, but show me proof that my bottom end isn't getting better coverage.

If the lifters get oil, that oil comes from oil BEFORE it gets to the mains. So it’s still robbing oil from the mains.

And, if you think about it, the number one main feeds one rod but it has to feed the drivers side lifter bank.

Thats oil that doesn’t go to the mains.

That’s one thing priority main oiling does. It feeds the lifters last.

You aren’t doing that.

Bushed bores with a teeny hole in each bushing feeding BAM roller lifters, which are oil through design. I do a slight mod to the lifter to get a wee bit more oil through. Works perfect for my needs.
