Looking for oil recommendations. I've always used Mobil 1 synthetic, but what's the best weight to use in a 360 magnum(carb. & mech fuel pump) that frequently sees 6000+ rpms. Would appreciate everyones' 2-cents.
I have used Mobil one synth in the past alot. I also use the synth Castrol in the wife's Ford for many years now. In the Ford, I change the oil twice a year and inbetween changes, a filter and a quart. It's been over a 100,000 miles doing this and theres not a single problem or hick up with the Ford.
Being a everyday car that see's some decent miles, I use 10-30 or 5-30. Lighter weight in the winter.
It's a 3-season driver that will go to the strip probably 10 times this season. It doesn't see alot of miles, but even when street driven, I like to pay homage to Our Blessed Lady of Acceleration, as Elwood Blues would say. The 360 Magnum that I put in last year(was 273) has changed my driving habits considerably, so I was wondering if a different oil was called for. Thanks for the advice.
