ok so I’m a Mopar lifer and have had maybe 100 Mopars, mostly E and B bodies but I have built a few 67-69 darts

That said I retired, sold all my cars to build a ranch and now I collect 61-71 sweptlines

The other day I bought a couple of trucks and to get them I had to buy a 64 gmc truck and a 59 Rambler. I promptly listed the non Mopars for sale

Now I have a guy who’s owned his dads 65 dart vert and he wants to trade for the rambler

I’m awaiting more pics

Guy says he thinks it was a slant six and his day out in a 318 years ago. It was a manual but his dad put in an auto with after market floor shifter and who knows what kind of seats .

Quarters have a little through rust and gauges are out but he says it runs and drives

So, if I traded it would be to just kick around in it. I don’t see me throwing lots if cash at it but maybe find a 5x 41/2 rear end and the same up front.

It’s a manual top

Anything I need to know about these ? Do they make quarter patch panels and how hard are parts to find?

If I decided to go back to a manual will an A body four speed fit?

Maybe modern gauges since these are out.

64 Dart. Had one. Neat little cars to run around in. Looks like a later small block, probably a 318. Stock it came with a 273 2 barrel. Manual top was standard. hard part to find for the 64-66 Darts isthe header for the top. They just plain rotted out so check that. If it had a stick it should have the hump still in it. Not hard to find the manual stuff as long as the peddles are there. All the other stuff can be found. Tranny was a ball and trunnion style with the low 3.09 first gear. The didn't change to 8 3/4 until late 65 and that was on the hipo cars with a 4 speed. As far as sheet metal, it's out there

What’s the difference in 64-65?

What size rear ends do these have stock and will a later A body rear end fit?

7 1/4, pretty much all that was offered in 64. A standard 66-72 8 3/4 will fit but you'll need it complete. The 64s had 9" drum brakes

The stock buckets are also out there. AZMOPAR I belive has a pair

59 Rambler is .....Fugly. Yeesh, I think 59 was the gaudiest year for American iron. Crazy ugly cool if its all there and in good shape, If its incomplete: man that is a snipe hunt Id rather not start. Id trade just because I know the Dodge has a parts following. That Rambler would be like finding parts for a Tucker.

I have only owned one prior AMC and that was a 69 Amx 390 4 speed go package in black missing the motor

I traded it for a 440-6 motor that I threw in my 70 barracuda vert.

Sold that 24 years later. I can’t afford to spend money on expensive cars these days so if I trade it will be just a cheap driver or get traded for something else Mopar
